Jim DeStefano is president and founder of DeStefano & Chamberlain, Incorporated.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Jim is the Past-President of the Connecticut Structural Engineers Coalition (SEC) and has been a Director of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA). He is active in several professional societies including the Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE), Structural Engineering Institute (SEI), and the Timber Framer's Guild (TFG).
Jim is a founder and past chairman of the Timber Frame Engineering Council (TFEC). He is director of the Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA). Jim is the chairman of the (CASE) Fire Protection Comittee. He is the past chairman of the Structure magazine editorial board.
